Ampleforth School A-level results 2015

We are very pleased to announce our A level and AS results. They are very much as expected given the overall profile of the cohort. The percentage of A grades is 43% with 33% of those gaining an A grade also qualifying for an A* grade. The percentage of A*-B grades is 72%. This is particularly impressive for a school with our range of ability. Many congratulations to both students and their teachers for their considerable effort and hard work in achieving these excellent grades.  Twenty five students attained all A grades at A level. Thirty students attained at least three A grades at A level. Of these, ten students attained 4 or more A levels all at A* or A. About two thirds of our students in the top half of the year (based on ability) achieved A*-A grades.  All of the Oxbridge candidates have had their places confirmed, as have all applicants for medicine.
