Charterhouse is again celebrating a very good set of examination results with 93% of Cambridge Pre-U examinations taken awarded Distinction or Merit grades. Fifty-two pupils achieved Distinctions (or their A level equivalent) in all subjects taken and fourteen achieved the equivalent of A level A* grades in all their subjects.
The IB Diploma Programme results were extremely strong, too: almost three-quarters of grades awarded were either 6s or 7s (a 7 being the highest) and almost 40% of the cohort achieved 40 points or more (typically seen as an average score for Oxbridge entry).
Delighted pupils from both courses of study are now celebrating securing their university places, including those pupils who have achieved their offers for Oxbridge entry, as well as to leading US universities such as UC Berkeley, NYU and University of Chicago and other top-flight international universities like Hong Kong and Bocconi.
Mr Richard Pleming, Headmaster, says that, “I am delighted for our boys and girls. Their results are a credit to them for all their hard work and also to the teaching staff for all their efforts in support of the pupils.”
