Luckley House School lies in stunning Berkshire countryside. It is a small Christian independent day and boarding school for pupils aged 11-18. Historically an all-girls school, Luckley will make the exciting switch to coeducation from September 2015. The School regularly tops the local league tables and ranks very well on a national scale for exam results.
The School is ideally situated for boarders and international students, in close proximity to main railway stations and with easy access to main airports (Heathrow is 40 minutes and Gatwick 1 hour by car). The small market town of Wokingham is a good-spirited and safe place to live, with a classy choice of shops, cafés and restaurants. The town centre is just a 15-minute walk from the School. Several places of historical and cultural interest and not far from Wokingham, including Windsor, Ascot and Reading. London is a 45-minute train ride away.
Applicants are required to sit an entrance examination and attend an interview with the Headmistress.
Alongside existing facilities of an outstanding nature, a long-term development programme is in place to meet the demands of the School’s growing community. Refurbishment and enhancements to boarding facilities and Sports Centre, which now contains a climbing wall, as well a new world-class Music Centre, demonstrate the thriving nature of Luckley. A new Performing Arts Centre is due to be constructed by autumn 2015.
