Surrounded by Dartmoor National Park in Devon in the South West of England, Mount Kelly lies on the outskirts of the small market town of Tavistock. The School is a welcoming, co-educational boarding and day school, providing a fulfilling all-round education. Boarders from the age of 7 are accepted. A seamless transition from Mount Kelly Preparatory School, for ages 3 to 11, to Mount Kelly Senior School, for ages 11 to 18, is assured to all pupils.
A wholly supportive environment
The highest standards of academic schooling are provided, and it is common for the School to achieve a 100% A-level pass rate.
Aided by small class sizes and a comprehensive tutoring system, children can hone their individual talents and reach their true potential within a balanced and supportive environment.
Mount Kelly is strongly committed to extracurricular activities such as the Combined Cadet Force, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Devizes to Westminster Canoe Marathon and Ten Tors Challenge. The School has a special Saturday School programme which gives children a wide range of opportunities to explore and nurture their own interests in three distinct areas: academic, cultural and outdoor. Examples of courses studied include pistol shooting, Chinese, The Extended Project Qualification, mountain biking, drama and photography.
