Newbury Hall

An introduction to Newbury Hall
Newbury Hall is an international boarding school for boys and girls aged 13–18. Tailored programmes are provided to ensure the academic progress and social development of each student. Students can study at Newbury from anywhere between six weeks and the full school year, a sign of the School’s flexibility. The combination of intensive tuition and small classes enables foreign students to achieve excellent exam results and compete with British students for places at some of the most famous universities.

Where can you find the School?
The school is situated in the historic market town of Newbury in southern England. The cities of Oxford and Bristol are both within easy reach of Newbury, as are central London and Heathrow Airport.

Boarding life
Comfortable en-suite study-bedrooms with a private shower and an excellent broadband connection are available to students in a modern on-site residence. The residence also includes boys’ and girls’ common rooms, kitchens and laundry facilities. Students have the opportunity to experience the British way of life and culture by opting to live with a local family as a day boarder.

Students can enrol throughout the year on intensive pre-examination programmes for a wide range of subjects at GCSE and A-level. In addition to weekly academic and welfare counselling, students receive career advice and guidance with their university application.

After school activities
Thanks to highly experienced staff who fully understand the needs of overseas students, Newbury Hall can offer an exceptionally supportive and caring environment for attendees. Two hours’ worth of extracurricular activities and a variety of sports are on offer to students at the end of each weekday. Outdoor pursuits and team-building exercises challenge and invigorate the School’s international achievers. Excursions are organised once a month to a major town or city.
