Nestled in 110 acres of beautiful private parkland, the School is only 20 kilometres south of central London, and one hour from London’s Gatwick and Heathrow airports.

Boarding
20% of our Senior School is made up of international boarders who swiftly settle into the School’s community. This additional multicultural dimension is appreciated by both boarders and day pupils. The boarding residences are friendly places with excellent facilities and room for leisure.
Superb Facilities
Royal Russell possesses a splendid mix of older buildings and ultra-modern facilities in a campus style setting. Teaching facilities are second-to-none, with a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre, music suites and science laboratories among other purpose-built buildings. Sports facilities include a floodlit AstroTurf pitch and two further all-weather games areas providing 13 tennis courts, 6 netball courts, a hockey pitch and small-sided football areas. There are also three sports fields for football, athletics, rounders and cricket, as well as a large and well-equipped sports hall and gymnasium. The School also has its own 25-metre indoor swimming pool. Lastly, an incredible internal cross-country course winds its way through the School’s extensive grounds.

Academic
For international students, extra English tuition is available without charge. A full range of GCSE and A-level courses are offered in preparation for entrance to university.

Co-curricular
There really is something for everyone when it comes to extra-curricular pursuits, from music and sport to jewellery-making and Wii clubs. Boarders benefit from a host of well-organised activities at the weekend. There are also plentiful opportunities to visit attractions in London. The Combined Cadet Force, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme and the Model United Nations programme greatly contribute to the personal development of pupils.
