An idyllic location
In the midst of 400 acres of rolling parkland in the heart of the county of West Sussex lies Seaford College. With 645 pupils aged 6–18, it is a co-educational independent day and boarding school. Seaford is a small, friendly school, where students and staff live and work side by side in perfect harmony.
Boarding and pastoral care
The Prep School, Wilberforce House, is available to newcomers aged 6–13. The staff organise a range of enjoyable outings and activities all year round.
Individual study-bedrooms and personal common rooms are just a few of the privileges available to Sixth-formers. The upper-sixth house, Heden Hall, provides a higher standard of living for the final year at school.
First and foremost, the thriving music department offers a wide range of choral and instrumental tuition, while the chapel choir has performed throughout Europe. The music suite consists of a soundproofed band practice room, individual teaching and practice rooms and a computer and keyboard room with a large performance space.
A range of sporting opportunities are on offer at Seaford College, including an all-weather hockey pitch, a golf course with a driving range and practice greens, a swimming pool, a large sports hall, squash and tennis courts. There are also extensive grounds for a whole range of competitive sports.
Expectations are high regardless of the non-selective intake. All the typical academic subjects are taught, with a wide choice of GCSE and A-level subjects available to students.
The College is renowned for being a centre of excellence for art and design, and several pupils progress to the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.
All students join the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) in Year 9, which guarantees a range of adventure opportunities.
With Iceland and Barbados topping the list for recent expeditions, the College organises regular sporting and study tours both at home and overseas.
