St John’s On The Hill
St John’s provides high-quality standards of care and education for boys and girls aged from 3 months to 4 years in the Day Nursery, from 4 to 7 years in the Pre-Prep and from 7 to 13 years in the Junior and Senior School.
Located on the border of Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire, St John’s can be found overlooking Chepstow Castle and the stunning Wye Valley. It is just three miles from the old Severn Bridge, and surrounded by a well-developed motorway system.
Boarding life at St John’s
Boarding options are available from the age of seven on a full, weekly or ‘flexi’ basis. The boarding house is family-run and has a real ‘home from home’ atmosphere. Those who remain at St John’s throughout the term are treated to a varied programme of weekend outings and activities.
Proud of its achievements
St John’s doors are open to children irrespective of their ability range, whilst specialist learning support systems are in place for those who need extra help.
St John’s values achievement both in and out of the classroom. The sporting programme is in place to ensure that all children become fond of both team and individual sports, where winning and losing are both treated gracefully with respect to opponents and other children.
A wide range of non-academic activities and after-school clubs are offered. A varied outdoor education programme enhances each child’s personal and social development.
Creating the future
Children go on to a wide range of excellent senior schools of their choice upon leaving the School, while St John’s is proud of its scholarship record.
The best possible start for the best possible future.
