Warminster Prep School
Warminster Prep offers a wide ranging curriculum combining traditional academics alongside an array of sport, dance and drama. The number of extracurricular activities available increases as students grow older. Good behaviour, sportsmanship and giving the best of oneself are the foundation of the educational ethos at Warminster. This combination of tradition and forward thinking are what contribute to pupils’ successful development.
This dedication was recently acknowledged through nine maximum grades recently awarded to Warminster Prep by the Independent Schools Inspectorate team. The full report is available on Warminster’s website.
Boarders reside in the Old Vicarage, a mixed facility for those attending Years 3-8 and can house up to 25. The excellent pastoral care at the Old Vicarage, which is located on the School’s campus, makes the living experience very comfortable. Pupils also enjoy a variety of trips and other opportunities provided to them.
The School’s facilities include classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards and cloud-hosted software, and highly-developed ICT facilities. Sport facilities include AstroTurf, an Indoor Cricket Centre and excellent playing fields.
Transitioning to the Senior School
Transfer to the Senior School is guaranteed for all pupils, provided that they have achieved the proper level of progress during their studies. Setting is based on 11+ Common Entrance exams in core subjects.
No formal assessments are required for children joining the School below Year 2. Learning support is available to children who need it while others are properly challenged as part of a Gifted and Talented cohort.
