In Upper Four (Year 9) girls move to Middle School and are encouraged to take increased responsibility for their own learning and are given a greater input in the choice of subjects they study. Before the end of the year, they will make their GCSE subject choices.

Headington School 2022/23 Ranking

Headington School ranked 50th on our 2021 A Levels league table with the achievement of 68.4% A*-As. The school did even better in our 2020 GCSE league table, ranking 23rd with an achievement of 85.3% 9-7. The school’s rankings have yet to be determined in 2022 league tables, although its latest achieved results indicate that it is likely to maintain its positions.

In 2019, it ranked 69th on our A-Levels league table and placed among the top 60 schools for GCSEs in the same year. Comparing the school’s 2019 and latest rankings, we can see that Headington School’s performance in league tables have shown some significant improvements.

Headington School 2022 Results

In 2022, Headington School students achieved 72% A*/A at the A Levels and 83% 9-7 at the GCSEs. Its most recent published IB results were from 2021 where students achieved an average of 41 points.

Headington School has seen an improvement in this year’s results compared to its previous published results. The school achieved 68.4% A*/A at the A-Levels in 2020. This marks a 4% increase in A*/As in 2022. Additionally, the school’s 2020 IB cohort scored an average of 39.5 points which has increased to 41 points in 2022, marking a 1.5 point average increase.
