In Upper Four (Year 9) girls move to Middle School and are encouraged to take increased responsibility for their own learning and are given a greater input in the choice of subjects they study. Before the end of the year, they will make their GCSE subject choices.

Headington School’s rank in the 2023 GCSE league table is 81, which is pretty consistent with the previous years’ performance. 

In 2019, it ranked 69th on our A-Levels league table and placed among the top 60 schools for GCSEs in the same year. Comparing the school’s 2019 and latest rankings, we can see that Headington School’s performance in league tables have shown some significant improvements.
