MPW Colleges Entry Requirements

If you are an international student and have not previously completed GCSE or its equivalent in the UK or an English-medium International School, you will be required to take an English language entrance test as part of your admission process.

Additionally, all students must attend an interview. While interviews typically take place in the UK, Malaysian students can take the interview in their home country. Please speak to us for information about interview availability for this year.

For international students whose native language is not English, eligibility for admission typically requires the following:

  1. Proficiency in English equivalent to IELTS scores of 5.5 – 6.5, depending on the chosen program. Applicants must undergo an English language test unless they have already achieved the necessary IELTS or equivalent score.
  2. A strong academic record spanning various subjects, supported by an official transcript of the student’s school grades from the two most recent years, which will be assessed during the interview.
  3. A clear understanding of the UK education system and well-defined university and career aspirations. These topics will be discussed in detail during the interview process.

“I joined MPW in September 2021 to do my A levels, and I chose to do Art, Textiles and Sociology. I found that the Art department really helped me with expressing myself and coming out of my shell work and personal wise. I found that in my previous school I was confined but at MPW the teachers challenged and encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and to try out completely new techniques and materials. They allowed me to express myself as I am and supported me. MPW approaches teaching as if you were at university, the relationship with the teachers is very open, they teach you to take responsibility and to work independently. MPW has an amazing Art facility with all the resources you need, you have access to all the rooms at any time of day and they are always there to help you. I would definitely recommend this college to any creative person.”
